Alien Registration
It is planned that in July 2012 the Alien Registration System will be abolished and the Foreign Resident Basic Registry System will be implemented.

Alien Registration
This is registration done by local municipalities, etc., in an effort to gain an understanding of who is living in the region. International visitors who are planning on staying beyond 90 days (with some exceptions, including diplomats) are required to register. The procedure is done at all local municipal and ward offices.
