Eligibility
1. International residents living, working or studying in Kyoto Prefecture
(Japanese for Work: Living or working in Kyoto Prefecture)
2. Medium to long-term residents
3. 16 years old or older
4. Able to attend all 20 classes
※Selection or lottery may be conducted if there are many applicants
Levels
Japanese for Daily Life (Capacity: About 10 students per class)
・For beginners learning Japanese for the first time : Seikatsu 1 Class
Course content (examples): Greetings, taking trains, shopping, going to city hall
・For those who can do greetings and simple self-introductions : Seikatsu 2 Class
Course content (examples): Going to a hair salon, expressing opinions, going to the hospital, preparing for disasters
Japanese for Work (Capacity: About 12 students per class)
・For those who can have short conversations about familiar topics : Hataraku 1 Class
Course content (examples): Receiving instructions, asking for time off, contacting about being late
・For those who can talk relatively easily about familiar topics : Hataraku 2 Class
Course content (examples): Consulting, reporting troubles, handling phone calls
※Level check test required
※Certificate issued to completers (80% attendance required)

・Computer or tablet with internet connection
・Web camera, microphone, headphones or earphones
・Wired connection recommended
